Manaslu Circuit Trek is one of the very popular trek in Nepal. Manaslu region is less explore off the beaten trail which was opened after 2008. Manaslu mountain is one of the world's tallest mountain which is 8163m. Every climbers who wants to climb Everest(8848m), first they want to climb Manaslu mountain.
Manaslu Circuit Trek takes you a remote valley of Gorkha district. We will walk by passing the local village, Buddhist Monasteries, chortens, mani walls. This region is highly influenced by Buddhist culture, tradition and religion. Manaslu Trekking used to be the camping trek in the past but nowadays tea houses has been built every camp. Manaslu Circuit Trek is geographically spectacular and culturally fascinating. Manaslu Circuit Trek offers you a pristine view of Ganesh Himal Ranges, Boudha Himal Ranges, Ngadi Chuli, Himal Chuli and so on.
Manaslu was first climbed on May 9, 1956 by Toshio Imanishi and Galyzen Norbu, members of Japanese Expedition Team. Since then, this mountain is popular to the Japanese people.
Details Itinerary
Day 01: Arrival in Kathmandu.
Upon your arrival in Kathmandu Airport, A representative of Himalayan Encyclopedia will wait outside of the airport with your name signage to welcome you to the beautiful country Nepal. He will take you to the hotel. In the day, there will be trip briefing. We will provide you much more information in the briefing which help you to prepare the trip nicely. In the evening you can explore touristic city Thamel. Overnight in Kathmandu Hotel.

Day 02: Kathmandu: Sightseeing and trip preparation
Today we will go to explore UNESCO world heritage site of Kathmandu and Bhaktapur. In the evening, there will be trip briefing with trek members along with you. We will give you much more information about the trip which helps you to prepare for the trek nicely. Overnight in Kathmandu.

Day 03: Drive from Kathmandu to Soti khola
Toady we start our journey to Soti Khola which is about 141 km further from Kathmandu. We drive through Prithvi Highway with the view of terraced field, local houses, mountains, river valley and so on. The Kathmandu to Soti khola driving distance will be about 7-8 hrs. Overnight in Soti Khola.

Day 04: Sotikhola-Machha khola
After having breakfast, we start our trek to Machha Khola. It takes about 6-7 hrs. to reach to Machha Khola from Soti Khola. We trek through Armala, Lapubensi, Nauli Khola, Khani besi and finally reach to Machha Khola. Overnight in Machha Khola.

Day 05: Machha Khola- Jagat
Today after having breakfast, we start our trek to Jagat. Jagat village is situated at 1410m elevation from the sea level. We walk through Gurung village, Khorlabesi, Tatopani, Doban, Yuru Khola and Budi Gandaki valley. Overnight in Jagat.

Day 06: Jagat-Deng
Today we leave for the Deng. Deng village lies at the elevation of 1800m from the sea level. Along the way you can explore tradition, culture, religion, lifestyles of local people. We will walk through the river bank and mountains view. The trek is densely covered by oak, birch and pine forest. Overnight in Deng

Day 07: Deng to Namrung
Deng to Namrung trek is one of the most beautiful section of Manaslu Circuit region. Today we will walk along side of the Budi Gandaki river. Today we will have another experience that we are walking the footprint of world eight highest peak Manaslu (8163m). Overnight in Namrung

Day 08: Namrung to Samagaon
Namrung to Samagaon is about 18 km walking distance. The Elevation of Samagaon is 3530m from the sea level. Namrung to Samagaon trek offers us spectacular view of Mount Manaslu (8163m) which is world's eightest peak in the world. Overnight in Samagaon.

Day 09: Rest Day in Samagaon, Optional Day Hike
Today is allocated for rest day in Samagaon. After having breakfast, we explore Samagaon which is very rich in Sherpa culture, tradition and lifestyles. We can spend our day to explore around Samagaon, take photos and videos. Overnight in Samagaon.

Day 10: Samagaon to Samdo
Today we start our trek to Samdo from Samagaon. The trek distance from Samagaon to Samdo is about 16 km and takes about 6-7 hrs. from Samagaon. We walk through Mani walls, Juniper and birch forests and cross the wooden bridge and walk along the Budi Gandaki river. Overnight in Samdo.

Day 11: Rest day in Samdo
Today is allocated for acclimatization day. The acclimatization is very important in high Himalayas region to adjust our body in high altitude atmosphere. We can go day hike and can see the beautiful view of Simrang, Himchuli, Ngadi, Lyarke Peak, Cheo etc. Apart from that we may have opportunity to see the national bird of Nepal : Lophophorous, Lammergeyer, Himalayan Griffin and so on. Overnight in Samdo.

Day 12: Trek from Samdo to Dharmasala
Today after having breakfast, we start our trek to Dharmasala. Dharmasala has only one Tea House, so its better to reach earlier to book the room. When you reach to Dharmasala from Samdo you can put your bag in the room and get refreshed by having cup of Himalayan Tea. Overnight in Dharmasala

Day 13: Trek from Dharmasala to Bimthang via Larkya la Pass
Today after having breakfast at Dharmasala, we start our hiking to Bimthang. The elevation of Bimthang from the sea level is 3720m. This region of trekking is reach in culture, tradition and history of mountainous people. Overnight in Bimthang.

Day 14: Bimtang-Tilije
After having breakfast at Bimtang, we start our trek to Tilije. We walk through rhododendron and Juniper forest. Today's trek offers us a magnificent view of Manaslu, Lamjung Himal and Himlung Himal. We keep descending on the trail and walk the bridge over the Dudh Koshi Khola. Overnight in Tilije

Day 15: Tilije-Tal
Today after having breakfast at Tilije, we start our journey to Tilije and walk along the way of Dudh koshi river. We pass through mani walls and Thonje village. We enjoy the view of waterfalls. Overnight in Tal.

Day 16: Tal-Syange
After having breakfast at Tal, we follow the steep trail to reach Chyamje by crossing beautiful Marshyandi river. The trail goes through beautiful rhododendron and pine forest. We will see beautiful waterfall. Overnight in Syange.

Day 17: Syange-Kathmandu
After having breakfast at Syange, we leave to Kathmandu. The drive from Besi Sahar to Kathmandu offers you magnificent view of landscapes, local houses, rivers and so on. After reaching Kathmandu, you will travel around touristic city Thamel. Overnight in Kathmandu.

Day 18: Final Departure
Your wonderful journey to Nepal come to an end today. A representative of Himalayan Encyclopedia will drop to you at the airport, about 3 hours before your flight. We say Good Bye for this time and hope to see you in Nepal again for next adventure.

1.How high is Manaslu Circuit Trek ?
The starting point of Manaslu Circuit Trek is Soti Khola is 1400m and Highest Point of the Trek Larkya la Pass is 5160m .
2.How fit do I need to go trekking to Manaslu Circuit Trek ?
Manaslu Circuit Trek is moderate trek. Although, average fitness is required to complete this trek. We walk so many ups and downs through the stone path, forest and mountains side, cross so many bridges, walk along the ridges of the mountains.
3.Where am I sleeping at night ?
After walking long hours in the day in the mountains, we need to require good sleep in the night. You will sleep at the Tea houses having basic facilities. You will provide enough blankets and sleeping bags which helps to warm your bed in the mountains. Except high elevation area, you will have good sleep. In high elevation area, if you manage to sleep few hours, that will be also ok because we can sleep next day when coming down.
4.Which is the best season to Trekking in Manaslu Circuit Trek ?
Manaslu Circuit Trek can be done throughout the year. Although in the monsoon season(June & July), It rains a lot. And in the winter, it snows heavily in the high mountainous region.
Best time to do this trek is
March- April- May

- How easy or difficult Manaslu Circuit Trek ?
Manaslu Circuit Trek is moderate to strenuous trek. Lower section, you will feel easier but when we gain elevation, we might feel strenuous. In high elevation, we make our pace slow to achieve our mission.
6.Is drinking water easily available during the trek ? Is it safe ?
We can find mineral water in the Tea Houses which is 100% safe to drink. If you are using tap water for Drinking, You can use water purification tablets. Due to national park rules and regulation in some section, We cannot buy water bottles. We need to use boiled and filtered water which we can find in the Tea Houses.
7.How do we Travel from Kathmandu to Soti Khola ?
We can reach to Soti Khola by Jeep which takes about 6-7 hrs. Travel distance from Kathmandu to Soti Khola is 136Km. We drive along side of Trishuli and Marshyandi river with the specular view of local houses, farmlands, beautiful hills etc.
8.What food do we get in mountain?
We normally get local hygienic and fresh foods. Although there will be different varieties of Chinese, Continental, Indian foods. Your Guide will help you to choose the foods from the Menu.
9.What happens if I get sick in the mountain?
Having minor health issue is normal in mountains. You may have common cold, minor headache which is common in mountain. But if you have serious high altitude sickness, we have to come back. In worst case helicopter evacuation will be done.
10. what kind of accommodation we can get during the trek ?
The Tea House in the mountain will be basic. Although we can find room having attach bathroom, in some areas. you have to inform in an advance if you want more facilities room.
